  • Street and garage parking are available in several lots throughout downtown St. Louis.

    The closest paid lot for buses is an open air lot located at 6th Street and Lucas located behind the museum. There is a parking garage at 410 N. 7th Street that takes credit cards and cash. Street metered parking is limited in front of the museum on Washington Ave and on 6th street.

  • If you are not driving to the museum, there is also the option of MetroLink and MetroBus. They provide easy access to the National Blues Museum, with the most convenient stop – Convention Center MetroLink station and MetroBus – located next to our entrance at 6th and Washington.   • The Museum is wheelchair accessible. Eliminating barriers to accessibility within the Museum is paramount in allowing all optimum access to the Museum experience.

  • The National Blues Museum is located at 615 Washington Ave in the hub of St. Louis’s convention and tourism district. In walking distance of each of the city’s major league sports stadiums and with an adjacent public transportation link within a block, NBM finds its groove amid a wide variety of concerts, events, and Convention Center visitors.

  • No. The gift shop is open from 10 AM – 4 PM daily and you do not need a ticket to the museum to visit.

  • The Museum does not allow food or drink of any kind to be consumed inside both the permanent and temporary exhibition space. Trash cans are provided at the entrance for visitors to dispose of any food or beverages before entering.

  • The Museum is wheelchair accessible. Eliminating barriers to accessibility is paramount in allowing optimum access to the Museum experience. The Museum is comprised of one floor with wide-open spaces and has no stairs.

  • Yes! The National Blues Museum frequently has live music in our listening room, the Legends Room. Check our calendar for upcoming performances.

  • Yes, outside food is permitted inside the Legends Room however; food is not allowed in any other part of the museum.

  • No, outside drinks of any kind are not allowed. There is a bar inside the Legends Room that has a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
